Outreach Intern for 92 year-old Maryland Poet Laureate Grace Cavalieri (Winter 2021 - Winter 2023)

  • Created Instagram account for 92-year old Maryland Poet Laureate and regularly post her art and poetry to the account, cultivated over 300 followers and brought work to a new space

  • Connect her to local artists and events in her area to participate in, bringing more visibility to her work

  • Receive mentoring on my own pieces

  • Led with her "Bridging the Gap: A Conversation Across Generations" event at Politics and Prose, 60+ people attended

Intern for Free Minds (Summer 2022 - Summer 2024)

  • Organized events connecting my school and other communities to Free Minds, where we talked to formerly incarcerated persons about the power of poetry and responded collectively to over 100 poems of those currently incarcerated 

  • Read and responded to 50+ poems of incarcerated persons
